NRNA Sports Academy Interacts in Pokhara
NRNA Youth Forum along with NRNA Sports Academy organized an interaction with Government of Nepal and sports organization in Pokhara on 23rd October. Pokhara is cohosting 13th South Asian Games as well as hosting ninth national games next year. Newly elect ICC Youth Coordinator Mr. Himal Gurung chaired the program. Mr. Ramesh Kumar Silwal, the member secretary of National Sports Council, was invited as chief guest in the program. Member of Gandaki Provincial Parliament, Mr. Mohan Regmi; Board member of National Sports Council Mr. Rajesh Gurung; head of administration of National Sports Council, Mr. Kulbahadur Thapa; Vice-president of Nepal Volleyball Association and member of NRNA Sports Nepal Chapter, Mr. Yam Gurung and other sports dignitaries were among the participants. The program was organized with an objective to introduce newly elect youth coordinator as well as to create a conducive environment with sports officials in Nepal. Mr. Silwal has expressed his good wishes for the successful tenure of newly elect youth coordinator as well as creative collaboration between National Sports Council and NRNA in the coming days. He has been seen positive towards support for the development of NRNA Sports Academy in Nepal. Youth coordinator, Mr. Gurung presented his plan for the two year tenure including development of NRNA Sports Academy as well as inclusion of second generation in NRNA campaign.
Alongside the interaction, Mr. Gurung has met with Federal Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma discussing about NRNA’s participation in youth and sports empowerment in Nepal. Mr. Gurung has requested honorable minister to include diaspora youth issue in the national youth policy and programs. Mr. Gurung has introduced with Gandaki Province Social Welfare Minister, Honorable Ms. Nardevi Pun Magar, who also represent youth and sports in the province government.
